Rain changes the mood of Paris, and nowhere is that more noticeable than at the Trocadéro. The broad stone terraces glisten under grey skies while umbrellas drift slowly across the esplanade, all eyes still fixed on the Eiffel Tower standing beyond the reflections. Even on a wet afternoon, the view remains unmistakably Parisian.
The statues lining the Palais de Chaillot seem to watch quietly over the scene as visitors pause for photographs between showers. The rain softens the colours of the city, but the tower still dominates the horizon, rising above the damp pavements and mirrored pools left behind by the weather.
“You don’t look for the Tower — you simply notice when she finds you.”
Part of the “Take on the Tower” Series
Each Tuesday, we turn our gaze toward the Eiffel Tower — seen not as a monument, but as a quiet companion to everyday Paris.
