The Serpent à Plume has been bringing a distinctly unconventional character to the Place des Vosges since 2018. The name refers to the Feathered Serpent of Mesoamerican mythology, while the interior of its cellar, designed by Vincent Darré, mixes 1970s style with pre-Columbian influences. Its founder, Alexander Rash, has turned the space into the rather unconventional bar and restaurant it is today.
The terrace, however, fits rather neatly into its historic surroundings and is a lovely spot to stop for a refreshment and people watch while exploring the Marais .
