Tuesday's take on the tower - growth of an icon.

Did you know, just like any metal, the iron that makes up the Eiffel Tower is highly sensitive to temperature changes. When the sun blazes and temperatures rise, the Tower literally grows! Thanks to a natural physical phenomenon called thermal expansion, the structure can increase in height by several millimeters on particularly hot days.
