Opened in 1903, this station serves Lines 2, 5, and 7. It’s one of the city's major transport hubs where the the familiar rumble of the metro passes overhead.
There’s something particularly photogenic and alive about these above-ground stations which capture the dynamic spirit of Paris.
The station is named after the Battle of Stalingrad in World War II. It sits at the intersection of several vibrant neighborhoods and is just a short walk from the Bassin de la Villette and the Canal de l’Ourcq.
Happy Monday everyone!
“Every journey begins somewhere — in Paris, it often begins underground.”
Part of the “Metro Mondays” Series
Each Monday, we travel beneath Paris — tracing its stories, moods, and motion through the tunnels that carry the week into being.
