Monday for the metro - Charles de Gaulle-Etoile.

Charles de Gaulle-Etoile metro exit revealing the sight of the Arch de Triumph

Standing at the top of the Champs-Élysées, this is another station exit that lets you know exactly where you are - 'Paris'. As you emerge you are greeted by the site of one of the city's iconic landmarks, the Arc de Triomphe, the star of avenues.

The station opened in 1900 for the World’s Fair, originally named simply “Étoile.” It was renamed after General de Gaulle in 1970. Today it serves Lines 1, 2, 6, and the RER A, making it one of the busiest and most strategic hubs in the entire system.

Happy Monday everyone!

“Every journey begins somewhere — in Paris, it often begins underground.”
