Saturday on the streets of Paris...Villa Santos-Dumont

Many people's idea of the architecture of Paris is naturally influenced by the boulevards of Haussmann apartment buildings but once they have arrived and started to explore they soon find out that it is as equally diverse as its rich history and culture.

The city still has its little 'private' moments like the 1920's houses on the dead end street of Villa Santos-Dumont in the 15th. Once and perhaps still, home to artists and creatives, this tranquil spot changes with the seasons but at all times remains enticing.

You can see more of its charming houses here .

The popular singer Georges Brassens lived nearby at no. 42 rue Santos Dumont, obviously being attracted by the bohemian vibe of the are.

Also nearby is the 'Parc Georges Brassens' which was created as a tribute to him on the site of a former abattoir for the current residents to enjoy.
