Mondays are for the metro...Place de Clichy

Art Nouveau entrance of the Paris Métro at Place de Clichy with the monument and surrounding buildings

Place de Clichy — a crossroads where Paris never stands still.

At Place de Clichy, the city meets itself fromery direction,  Montmartre behind you, the grands boulevards ahead, and the Métro carrying thousands beneath your feet.

This Art Nouveau entrance, one of Paris’s most photographed, feels like a hinge between worlds. Taxis circling, scooters weaving, conversations drifting across the square and below, the steady pulse of Line 13, carrying Paris in and out of its day.

“In Paris, even a simple métro entrance tells a story ,of motion, of mornings, of the city forever becoming itself.”
