Mon banc dominical / My Sunday Bench in Paris...Square du Temple - Elie Wiesel.

'Square du Temple - Elie Wiesel' is actually an English style garden in the La Marais where you will find plenty of benches. The place has an interesting history having been the site of a medieval fortress built by the Knights Templar, later becoming a state prison (1792 to 1808) where Louis XVI and his family were held during the French Revolution, before all the buildings were demolished in 1811 to make way for the present-day 'square'.
