Life goes on underground - Arts et Métiers

Arts et Métiers Metro entrance o in Paris

Life goes on in Paris, despite the protests. The Metro continues to carry people across the city, and at Arts et Métiers there is still a little Jules Verne imagination waiting below street level to distract you.

Arts et Métiers serves Lines 3 and 11. The Line 11 station was transformed in 1994 by Belgian artist François Schuiten, with copper walls, rivets and portholes inspired by Jules Verne and the Nautilus.

“Every journey begins somewhere — in Paris, it often begins underground.”

Part of the “Metro Mondays” Series
