A seat at 'Stand' - terrace time in Paris.

'Stand' sits on Boulevard Edgar Quinet, in a part of Montparnasse where cafés, restaurants and outdoor terraces have long been part of the scene. The boulevard itself was created in 1864, largely on the route of the old Farmers-General's Wall, and took the name Edgar Quinet in 1879, after the French historian, poet and philosopher.

The area has also retained something of Montparnasse's artistic character. The Marché de la Création still takes place on the boulevard every Sunday, where contemporary painters, sculptors, photographers and other artists sell their work.

This restaurant is in good company, this is a stretch of Montparnasse where finding somewhere for a coffee, lunch or an afternoon drink has never been particularly difficult.
