A quiet morning beside the Petit Palais on Avenue Winston-Churchill, opposite the Grand Palais, with its ornate Beaux-Arts dome rising above the trees.
Like its larger neighbour, it was built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle. It was designed by Charles Girault and has housed the City of Paris Museum of Fine Arts since 1902.
