Sometimes leaving an unfamiliar metro station can be really uninspiring...with you wondering what lies ahead!
Arriving at Stalingrad in the 19th arr., heading for the quays of the Bassin de la Villette,is one of those occasions.
Sometimes, more often than not here in Paris, you can be pleasantly surprised. Exit 6 at Stalingrad brings you out onto Quai de la Seine, (which in itself is a bit of a misnomer) and the gardens around the 'Rotonde' before the short walk to the 'bassin' itself.
We consider this uninspiring exit as the best metro station for accessing the delights of the Bassin de la Villette.
Happy Monday everyone!
“Every journey begins somewhere — in Paris, it often begins underground.”

Each Monday, we travel beneath Paris — tracing its stories, moods, and motion through the tunnels that carry the week into being.
