Take on the Tower - the quiet drama of Paris’s most iconic landmark.

Eiffel Tower viewed from below at dusk, illuminated against the Paris sky

Seen from below, the Eiffel Tower becomes less a landmark and more a structure, iron latticework rising overhead, glowing softly against the night sky.

Standing beneath it changes the scale completely. What feels distant from across the city becomes immediate, almost overwhelming, another reminder of how Paris often rewards those who look up and those who stand still.

Until January 3rd inclusive, the tower is extending its hours by one hour and will welcome you every day until 00:45 (entrance closes at 23:45 - except on 31/12 at 18:45).

Part of the “Take on the Tower” Series

Each Tuesday we share a different perspective of Paris’s most recognisable silhouette — sometimes dramatic, sometimes quiet, always changing depending on where you stand.
