Saturday on the streets of Paris...Rue Saint-Vincent

Image: Tom Reeves Looking over the vines of Clos Montmartre towards Rue Saint-Vincent. Clos Montmartre is a small vineyard created back in the 1930s to pay homage to the former winemakers of the Butte de Montmartre . It can be found by winding your way west behind the Sacré-Cœur, away from the tourists,onto Rue des Saules. Good articles on Clos Montmartre here and also here . This year,from the 11th to the 15th of October,sees the return of 'La Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre' with a programme of entertainment on the Butte.
