Wednesday for the windows of Paris...with a Hemingway connection.

Classic windows and balconies above 'La Closerie des Lilas' restaurant on Bd du Montparnasse, in the 6th.

In the bar of the restaurant there a plaque marking the spot where American writer Ernest Hemingway sat when he frequented the place during his sĂ©jour in Paris.

During their time in Paris, Hemingway became acquainted with writers and artists such as Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, Picasso and James Joyce among others. You can read more on his time in Paris here. The bar was also the place where he first read F. Scott Fitzgerald's manuscript of 'The Great Gatsby'.
