One of the entrances to Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre metro station, on Rue de Rivoli. Serving lines 1 and 7 of the metro system,rarely as quiet as this!

The Palais Royal–Musée du Louvre station has 5 exits. Exit 1 takes you into the Carrousel du Louvre a large underground shopping mall with one of the options for access the Louvre Museum. Use exit 2 if you want to visit the Palais Royal. Exit 5 brings out on Place Colette via the elaborate 'Kiosque des Noctambues' 'Kiosk of the night-walkers' as its design incorporates a bench for night strollers to stop and take a rest.
