Wednesday for the windows of Paris - garden rooms?

Love these little 'green' garret windows at the top of this apartment block in the 10th arrondissement of the city. Garrets were/are small and sometimes dismal one room accommodation with shared toilet facilities in the attic space of large residential buildings which would have been used by servants. Nowadays, with floorspace at a premium in the city, many have been sold off to property developers who will buy multiple units to create a larger living space.
From Wikipedia: The word 'garret' entered Middle English through Old French with a military connotation of watchtower, garrison or billet – a place for guards or soldiers to be quartered in a house. Like garrison, it comes from an Old French word garir of ultimately Germanic origin meaning "to provide" or "defend".
